*Due to Covid-19, participation of the general public in the Weekly General Audiences with Pope Francis has been temporarily suspended. These audiences are being livestreamed with English translation on www.vaticannews.va.
General Audiences with Pope Francis are held on Wednesday mornings at 10:00 a.m. on St. Peter’s Square from January to December. Dates for upcoming General Audiences can be found on the webpage of the Papal Household.
Tickets are free of charge and may be obtained the following ways:
1. By contacting Patrick’s Catholic Church (an American Catholic church in Rome). Once you have requested your audience tickets, you must pick them up in person the day before the audience at the Parish Office between 4:30pm and 6:15pm. The address is: Via Boncompagni, 31.
2. By contacting the U.S. Bishops’ Office for Visitors to the Vatican via email at email@example.com. Please include a) your name and names of those attending; b) the date of the General Audience you wish to attend; and c) the number of people in the party.
3. By contacting the Prefecture of the Papal Household by printing the request form and either faxing the completed form to +39 06.6988.5863 or mailing it to: Prefettura della Casa Pontificia Palazzo Apostolico 00120 Vatican City State
If tickets are not available, you may attend the Sunday Angelus, held at noon on St. Peter’s Square and presided over by Pope Francis. Tickets are not required for this event.
*Please note that private audiences with the Pope are reserved for heads of state and other high-ranking officials.
