U.S. Embassy supports book by Dominican Sisters

The Embassy of the United States of America to the Holy See sponsored the launch of the book Preaching Justice Volume II, a collection of writing that documents the contribution of Dominican Sisters to social ethics in the 20th century. Several of the book’s contributors wrote about how the Dominican Sisters have built peace across the world, resisting oppression and promoting healthcare while working with marginalized populations. Other contributors wrote about the Sisters’ battles against injustice; in particular, they allowed a mixed-race population of students in their schools in South Africa during the Apartheid years. The Ambassador gave remarks at the launch.
